Book formats

On the book pages of this website you will find an HTML link to browse the book online and, if you have registered, you will have access to the PDF, PRC and EPUB formats.

• PDF is Adobe’s ubiquitous Portable Document Format and is ideal for printing a book on paper or viewing it on a PC or Mac.

• PRC is a Mobipocket format similar to MOBI. PRC files can be viewed on Amazon’s Kindle and a wide range of e-readers and mobile devices. If for some reason your device does not recognise the .prc extension just change this to .mobi and it should work fine.

• EPUB is an open standard format suitable for a wide range of devices including the Sony Reader, Barnes & Noble Nook, and the iPad. Note, when you download the EPUB file using your browser it may be stored on your PC with a .zip extension. If so you must rename the file from 'example.epub.zip' (if using Chrome) or 'example.zip' (if using Internet Explorer) to 'example.epub' before viewing on your PC or transferring to your e-reader. Note, if you have the correct ereading software on your computer you shouldn't experience any difficulties downloading and opening EPUB or PRC files.

Browser compatibility

If you using an old version of Internet Explorer (eg IE7 and its predecessors) it will not display this site correctly. Please download a modern, web-standards compliant browser such as Microsoft’s IE 8 , Mozilla’s Firefox , Google’s Chrome , or Opera’s er Opera.

Copyright

The copyright to the books on this website is held by the author. The books are made available for free for personal use. You may not sell the books without obtaining the consent of the author. Please help us to combat piracy and plagiarism by alerting us to any copyrighted material which has been inadvertently posted on this site. We receive works from many authors and although we attempt to check for plagiarism copyrighted material may go undetected.

Donations

Donations made to Bibliotastic.com are handled via PayPal. After making the donation you will be returned to our site and asked to complete a form telling us whether the donation is for a particular author or for the general upkeep of the site (web hosting, development, advertising, promotions, etc). Bibliotastic does not take a commission on donations made to authors.

Downloading to ereader

When you are logged in 3 download buttons should appear on the book pages of bibliotastic: PDF, EPUB and PRC (for Kindle).

1. Click on the format of your choice and this should inititiate a download to your computer to a Downloads folder or wherever your computer is set up to download files to (eg My Documents/Downloads).
2. To transfer the file (PDF, EPUB or PRC) to your ereader you will need the USB cable to connect it to your computer.
3. Your ereader should then appear on your computer as an external drive or device (a window should pop up, otherwise go to My Computer and look for a new drive/device).
4. Open this drive and look for a folder called 'documents' or something similar.
5. Transfer (eg copy and paste or move) your downloaded ebook from the folder on the computer (eg My Documents/Downloads) to the documents folder on your ereader.

Editor reviews

As bibliotastic does not charge authors to publish books or readers to download them we have limited resources to pay for editorial services. Our editors are volunteers; they are not professional book reviewers but are keen enthusiasts. If an author is unhappy with their book review we ask another editor to take a look. And if the author is still not happy we do not publish the editor's review or rating. Please note we have only managed to provide editor's reviews for about 60% of our books at present.

Rating system

Book ratings are from 1 (awful) to 5 (bibliotastic!). Reader ratings are the average of all user votes. Editor ratings are the entirely subjective view of our editorial team.
