Sixteen year-old Kara Nightingale’s ordinary life is suddenly turned upside-down when she dies in a freak accident and wakes up in a strange new world with a new career - as a rookie for the Guardian Angel Legion. Kara hurtles towards dangerous missions with the help of her Petty Officer and friend, David. But when she discovers a mark on her leg, the entire Legion accuses her of being a Demon spy. Angels are dying, and David begins to pull away from her. Can Kara prove her innocence as she becomes the Legion’s only hope? It’s going to take a miracle to save the Legion, and Kara’s luck has just run out...
This is a very well written and fast paced fantasy with plenty of vivid description and just the right amount of romance. Each chapter finishes at a high point, either holding tension or resolving one plot point and leading smoothly into the next. This is the first of the ‘Soul Guardian’ series and I am hoping Kim Richardson will build on the exciting base she has established for her series, and will raise the intensity higher with each successive volume. Where should I star? This book is simply a-w-e-s-o-m-e. The great thing about this book is the way author developed the characters. Each character has definite personality. “David” the charming is not so popular in GA Legion but good at his work. “Kara” is shy, lonely teenage, hated by her peers, later become warrior and saves GA land. Another good thing about this book is the plot. It has good flow and no distraction. Author reaches climax in right time. She never loses her focus from actual story.
One thing I like author to explain what really happened to elemental child, did he able to enter horizon? Despite all those spy , isn’t he more save with chief archangel than mortal family.
I just can’t wait to read the second book.
highly recommend
From the very beginning of this fast paced and imaginative book I was hooked. I couldn't put this one down until the very end. This is one I will be reading again for sure and I will be on the lookout for more books by Kim Richardson. I highly recommend this book .
