Take Six Strides
Peter is an investigator working for a foundation that has recently funded the building of a dam in a South American country. On a journey to visit the dam Peter is falsely accused of murder and imprisoned. He escapes by building a hang glider out of bamboo and canvas. In the middle of the night Peter launches off the prison roof. He flies by night along the edge of the valley then climbs up through the rain forest during the day to gain height. Pursued by prison guards and army patrols Peter finally has to convince the U.S. navy to act, not only to save the other prisoners but to save the dam and avoid a catastrophe.
This was an enjoyable read though initially I felt like there was a lot going on, which made it a bit hard to process. The story dives into the action immediately. Peter Harding is an interesting character and well written. His struggle to regain his freedom and stop a disaster from happening makes for a very engaging story. Though it can be a little hard to get into, it's worth reading.

I am waiting for a 2nd book by this outstanding author. Please don't make me wait too long!
Well thought out
The idea around the story is good. I applaud the author on managing to create such a web of events and portraying them in an understandable manner. The beginning gets your attention and creates curiosity in your mind, motivating you to read further. It makes more and more sense as you read on. This is a well thought out idea.
