Miles
Miles, the number one salesperson at Larrington Drives, has been rumored to be a little eccentric, but Tom, the new Product Manager from the home office, has no idea what he is getting himself into when he agrees to travel with Miles for three days of joint sales calls. Pushing all boundaries of reason and logic, Miles will take them on a trip laced with adventure, humor and a little bit of hell as Tom learns as much about himself as he does about Miles and the “human condition.”
This is a nice story if a little chaotic. An unlikely friendship springs up between the two main characters, but Tom is never sure of Miles’ true motives. Is he just an eccentric character who cheats on his expenses with no apparent remorse and has very unusual sales tactics, or does he do the wrong things for what he believes are the right reasons?
Miles is a very complicated character, but for all his idiosyncrasies, his heart seems to be in the right place. Overall the message here seems to be that it is important to be who you are, warts and all. Both characters find themselves to have changed after their few days together and have learned more about themselves.
