In this 'tweenquel' Hawk finds that there is always room for one more legend. The west coast had struggled for survival since the Apocalypse: cut off from the rest of the continent, broken into isolated communities, each with its own rules for survival, each running out of time. The military in defeat, still unable to get a foothold after almost 7 years, the entire west coast depends upon Hawk to lead them out of darkness. An unusual relationship bonds two teens to Hawk and together they find something they all had lost. Life once again life throws the legend a curve ball.

On my third Hawk's Legend
I just finished reading Hawks Legend II: Deja Vu and am about to start Hawks Legend III.
I was fascinated by the character of Hawk and his struggle to rebuild a decimated civilization. In some ways he reminded me of the Lazarus Long character in Heinlein's books. I did think that some of the dialog between Hawk and Keli and then Kylee was a bit "schmoozie" but I still didn't put the books down.
I found many more errors and words that just didn't belong in the second book than in the first. I just reread the sentence and made my adjustments. I did, however, take away a star for this as it did, in a small way, detract from the professionalism of the story.
I do congratulate Mr. Turnbull on his stories and will begin the third books as soon as I finish here. I am looking forward to it.
My readers seem to overlook my short comings ...
Hmmm... I fully admit I lack the polish of an professional author. But you actually answered your own question yourself.... Free self published!
People kept asking me to put my stories on line and I did (I'm a story teller not a writer) Sadly my mind runs about four lines faster than my fingers not to mention I write a story, re-read it, my wife marks the corrections she finds, I correct them and re-read it in the process....
I've found that even in the last reading that word changed 'any' to 'ant'
Professional, to professor....ect.
I'd turn off auto correct, but that would only make matters worse. The proof readers I found wanted $100.00 to $300.00 a book. One even offered to do a freebie for me and when I got it back a friend checked it and found many mistakes and comparing it to my original, found several sentences missing that caused (her, our friend) to scratch her head.
When pointing this out, the "expert" (who works for a literary agent) just replied, well that's the way I work....
Such is the life of an amateur writer. My site has over 3 to 4 hundreds of my works downloaded every month and they keep coming back (lots of positive emails)
I'm sorry you're unhappy with my works, but my steady readers seem to overlook my short comings and keep coming back.
Sorry about the long post, but it's not an easy comment to reply to.
Reason these books are free
Why oh Why don't these self publishing authors get someone to proof read their books before uploading them.
Spelling & grammar like we see in these books would have gotten me expelled from school.
