The Future Manifestations of Saint Christina the Astonishing by Opposite Books

This book describes eight appearances of the medieval ‘Saint’ Christina the Astonishing in the near and distant future. Christina Mirabilis (1150-1224) seemed to die suddenly at the age of 22 before flying up into the air over her coffin to the astonishment of the the local townspeople. She is the unofficial patron saint of people affected by mental illness and their therapists. At the time of writing there are no confirmed apparitions or intercessions officially credited to Christina the Astonishing. The book includes an artificial prayer, the discovery of immortal qualities of mind, a 63% chance of seeing into your future and the secret of the Quantum Deficit.

We absolutely love this short curious book brought to us by a small collective of authors who wished to remain anonymous.

My favourite story from the collection is 'Resurrections' where a child describes recent discoveries about how people are reincarnated.

Also loved the thought of a Medieval Saint somehow actually getting into World of Warcraft.

I really liked your curious stories about a Saint turning up in the future. It started to be a bit like a very weird 'Where's Wally' book after a while because I started looking for when she would show up. The stories were all really different enough to be fun and surprising. I liked how the writing changed tone of voice a lot to make the different characters stand out. The last story was a little bit confusing but I really liked your ideas.
